Reason #135 – Football Boots

As previously mentioned, I love football. I’m English, it’s basically my religion.

As I have also previously stated, I have OCD which means I have little quirks like I can’t wear odd socks.

Now usually my OCD has no effect on my enjoyment of football, until Puma decided to do this:

*eye twitch* WHY!!!!!!

These are the boots Puma designed for the Fifa 2014 World Cup. Now, knowing that I can’t wear socks that are even the slightest bit different, how do you think I feel about a pair of boots that are two totally different colours?!

Yep. I basically sit there, eye twitching, teeth grinding, muttering (and ok, occasionally yelling) about how much I hate Puma (with the occasional “FUCK YOU PUMA” thrown in there for good measure). I really struggled to watch the World Cup because of this. I had hoped these boots would be limited to the two weeks of the World Cup and when Premier League returned I would be safe to watch again. That’s when Puma decided to design some boots just for their sponsored Arsenal players:

And Mario Balotelli also moved to Liverpool and insisted on continuing to wear his pink and blue boots.

I rant about this a lot and I spend much of a game or highlights show telling players to wear boots that are the same colour (if it’s live TV they can totally hear me!) It doesn’t help when the person watching with me (in this case my Dad) decides to further enrage me by shouting out things such as “did you see that? He hit it with his pink boot.” *GLARE*

Thank you Puma for ruining football for me and also inspiring me. I now plan to run for Fifa president purely so I can introduce a rule that says players are only allowed to wear plain black boots, with black laces, and a black or white sponsor logo.

They even come in a stupid box!!

Reason #86 – I can’t wear odd socks

Reason #86 - I can't wear odd socks

I just can’t!
Note how these socks have slightly different logos (one’s all one shade of pink and the other is different shades of pink) this means they are not a pair and therefore I cannot wear them as a pair.
I know what you’re thinking, “no one will know. You can’t even tell.”
My solution – the socks are put aside until I find their proper partner (who must exist! Socks don’t vanish. It’s not like they can walk away… well not by themselves…)

Reason #50 – Bed

I can’t sleep in an unmade bed. It’s an OCD/neat freak thing.

I have a fitted sheet over the mattress that I lie on then I have a flat sheet, which I fold over the top edge of the quilt and then I have a blanket folded at the base of my bed.

It’s not fun when you mess it up. I will remake it while you’re in the bed if I have to!

I find people who also make their beds attractive and yes, because it’s me, I have managed to turn this into an awkward situation.

Me: Why is your bed made?
Hot boy: I like a certain level of neatness.
Me: You make your own bed!?
Hot boy: Yeh…
Me: That’s really hot!
Hot boy: What…?
Me: [kisses him to distract him.]

And just in case you were wondering, this was the same boy from Reason #36.

Reason #44 – I like lists

Obviously. (That’s all this blog is.)

Lists keep me organised.

Therefore I cannot date anyone with pinaciphobia – a fear of lists (I love the Oxford Dictionary’s Twitter!)

Reason #33 – Hyper observant

Because of the aforementioned OCD I tend to notice little, minuscule and probably insignificant things such as my DVDs being out of order, crumbs, loose threads, etc.

I will probably point them out to you, just because.

Reason #32 – OCD

I have OCD. This means I like things neat. I like things organised. I like things clean.

I’m also partial to the number 4.

(Probably should have mentioned that sooner…)
